It's like a stock that goes up and down, only slower than the "Stock Market". Based on supply and demand, prices go up for apx. 10-15 years (Bull Market) then go down for apx 2-4 years (Bear Market). It's like a natural correction in the Housing Market,... High demand, prices go up, Low demand, prices go down.
Value Continues To Increase Over The Long Haul !
Historically, the chart shows prices go up longer than they go down. When they go down, they go down apx. 20, 30, or even 40% from the highest price point but, not down to the prices of 10 and 20 years ago.

The DFW area, with it's super wide variety of jobs, continues to grow, more people moving in than moving out. Sure, ... prices have gone down here too ! However, in our market, the demand for Home Ownership is always in demand ! ... We just go with the flow on Prices, when we buy em ! ... people still want own a Home ! ...
Haven't found a chart on this next cool thing; ... Based on our experience, we have found that when retail prices go up, the wholesale prices go up about the same % per year. But, check this out, ... When retail price goes down, wholesale price goes down more ! ... So, ... we buy the crap out of em !
